Reflection No. 16042016

(Acts 9:31-42; John 6:60-69)

The power of the risen Lord is still manifesting in the disciples. Through Peter, the paralytic could walk and dead rise back to life. This mean that Jesus was working now in the disciples. Though many believed after seeing Miracles, these miracles add nothing to the faith. Many people are still waiting for miracles to happen not knowing that what they see as a routine is miracle too. Waking up in the morning is a miracle. Jesus is telling those who don’t believe to leave. His disciples had also a choice to leave or to stay but they chose to stay for Jesus is the word of life. The bread we see on the altar means nothing unless it is consecrated. By consecration, the Spirit is called to change the bread into the body. Similarity, we should not take care of our bodies to a point of neglecting the spiritual part. Our lives will be meaningless unless united with the spirit.
St. Theresa of Lisieux, pray for us
